The Jordanian Amateur Boxing Association was established in 1970 and taken from the station youth center as a headquarters and training center where boxing was used under the name of the Jordanian Federation for Weightlifting, Bodybuilding, Wrestling and Boxing a year ago.

The federation has been active during those years in creating a nucleus for the national team and participated in several Arab and Asian championships during which it won the gold, silver and bronze medals, and in 1980 the federation was an active participant in the establishment of the Arab Federation of amateur boxing. The Jordanian Amateur Boxing Association joined the International Federation of the game as well as the Asian Federation in 1975.
