The Jordan Boxing Association is the official authority responsible for overseeing and regulating the sport of boxing in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Jordanian Boxing Association was founded in 1970 as an independent association under the name “Jordanian Amateur Boxing Association.” Prior to this, boxing was part of a unified association that included several other sports such as weightlifting, bodybuilding, and wrestling.
The Jordanian Boxing Association is an active member of international sporting bodies, having joined both the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and the Asian Boxing Conassociation (ABC) in 1975. It also played a key role in establishing the Arab Amateur Boxing Association in 1980. The Association is also a member of the Jordanian Olympic Committee.
The current president of the Association is His Royal Highness Prince Nayef bin Asem bin Nayef, who provides support and guidance for the development of sports in the Kingdom and enhances its regional and international standing.
