Professor Dr. Khetam Mousa Mahmoud Ay
Professor Dr. Khetam Mousa Mahmoud Ay is a full professor at the Faculty of Sport Sciences at the University of Jordan, specializing in motor learning and motor control (swimming and volleyball) as well as sports sociology. She has held several prominent leadership and administrative positions, including Vice Dean for E-Learning, Quality, and Accreditation, Chair of the Department of Movement Sciences and Sports Training, and membership in numerous academic and university committees.
She earned her PhD in Philosophy of Physical Education from the University of Jordan in 2010 and has an extensive academic career in teaching and supervising master’s and doctoral theses, with promotion to full professor in 2019. She also has distinguished practical and athletic experience, having served as a former captain of the Jordanian national volleyball team (both indoor and beach volleyball) and was the first Jordanian woman to represent the country internationally in beach volleyball, achieving a top-ranking position in Arab competitions.
Her scholarly contributions include numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and participation in international conferences. She is also active in community service and volunteer work and holds leadership positions in the Jordan Boxing Association and the Asian Boxing Conassociation, being the first Jordanian woman elected to such a position at the Asian level.
