One of the most prominent figures in boxing at both the Jordanian and international levels, he has a distinguished career spanning more than four decades in the service of the sport as a boxer, referee, and technical official. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Jordan in 1985 and devoted his professional life to working in the field of physical education both inside Jordan and abroad.

He began his career as a player in the Jordanian national boxing team from 1978 to 1990, representing Jordan in numerous Arab and international competitions, including Arab championships in Iraq and the Military World Championship in Egypt in 1988.

At the international level, he holds a prestigious position as a certified International Technical Official (ITO) since 2011 and serves as a Technical Delegate in major global championships. He was also a member of the Technical and Rules Committees of the International Boxing Association (AIBA/IBA) from 2010 to 2018 and chaired the Competition Committee of the Asian Boxing Conassociation during the same period.

He has participated as a technical official in major sporting events, most notably the 2012 London Olympic Games, the Asian Games, and various World Championships, reflecting his extensive expertise and the international associations’ confidence in his technical and administrative abilities.

He is known for his deep commitment to developing boxing and enhancing its status in Jordan and the region, combining field experience, administrative leadership, and a long-term developmental vision.
